Good news for summer evenings in Brussels: one of the city centre’s most beautiful rooftops is freely accessible, with no waiting list or mandatory booking. The Beer Lab Rooftop is perched above the Brussels Bourse, at Boulevard Anspach 80, right in the heart of the City of Brussels.
How to Access the Bourse Rooftop for Free
Most tourists don’t know this: the rooftop entrance is hidden at the back of the Bourse building. No ticket, no queue, no museum fee. Follow the 3 steps below, and you’ll be on the terrace in 90 seconds. 💙
Step 1: Find the Hidden Entrance on Rue du Midi
Go around the Bourse; the rooftop entrance is at the rear of the building, on the Rue du Midi side. There’s no flashy sign: just two large arches and the yellow B terminal for Belgian Beer World confirming you’re in the right place.

Step 2: Take the Lifts Marked “Best View in Brussels”
In the hall, head straight for the two golden brass lifts (cabins B and C). A blue sign proclaiming “BEST VIEW IN BRUSSELS — 150 BELGIAN BEERS — SKYBAR — CHEERS!” confirms you’re on the right track. This is the free access point to the rooftop.

Step 3: Press the “4th Floor” Button for The BeerLab
Once in the hall, take the KONE lift on your right and press the button for “4 — The BeerLab” (circled in yellow). Level 0 is marked “Exit” and 1 is “Belgian Beer World” — you’re going up to 4. It’s 100% free with disabled access.

Step 4: Arrive at The Beer Lab Rooftop Terrace
The doors open, you push through the golden glass wall, and the view is striking: a diamond-patterned canopy, oak barrels, and in the distance, the gothic spire of the Grand-Place. You’ve arrived at The Beer Lab Rooftop.

Don’t Miss: The Bourse’s Majestic Main Hall
Before heading up, look up. The central hall of the Brussels Bourse (1873, architect Léon-Pierre Suys) has just been fully restored and is also freely accessible. Stucco work, red marble columns, a sculpted dome, a monumental glass roof, and mosaic floors: it’s a 2-minute detour that’s well worth the trip.

A Skybar in Brussels Centre with 150 Belgian Beers
The venue boasts a 360° panoramic view over the rooftops of the historic centre, including the Grand-Place, the City Hall, and the Cathedral spire. And most importantly: 150 Belgian beers from authentic breweries, with 49 on tap — one of the largest high-altitude selections in the capital.
Where to Find the Best Brussels Selfie Spot This Summer
Heatwave, long summer evenings, golden light over the rooftops: this rooftop is the dream location to capture Brussels from above. It offers the perfect frame for the City Hall and the gothic spire of the Grand-Place — your best selfie of summer 2026 awaits, free and with no booking required. Guaranteed by the president of BXLOVE, who tested it this Thursday, 28 May 2026. 💙
