Classissimo: 20 Years of Affordable Summer Concerts in Brussels

Some festivals get big-headed after twenty years. Classissimo has done the opposite: it has kept its prices low, opened its doors to students, and continues to mix young talent with established names in one of the capital’s most beautiful settings. 

From 5 to 11 August 2026, the festival celebrates its 20th edition at the Théâtre royal du Parc, at Rue de la Loi 3, a stone’s throw from the Belgian Federal Parliament. 

## 🎶 Seven Evenings, Seven Worlds 
The programme, curated by internationally renowned flautist and artistic director Marc Grauwels, is built around a single theme: transmission. 

- Wed. 5 August — Transmission – Master & Students: Mozart, Gounod, Orff… Carmina Burana 
- Thu. 6 August — French Baroque at the Court of Louis XIV & XV: Couperin, Rameau, Leclair 
- Fri. 7 August — Southern Sun: Albéniz, Villa-Lobos, de Falla, Piazzolla 
- Sat. 8 August — Valère Burnon & Friends: quintets by Dvořák and Brahms 
- Sun. 9 August — A Night at the Opera: Verdi, Weber, Bizet 
- Mon. 10 August — El Mundo del Tango: Rovira, 'the other Piazzolla' 
- Tue. 11 August — Mozart & The Glassharmonica 

Cymbalum, glassharmonica, castanets: the anniversary edition shines a spotlight on instruments rarely heard on stage.
