What if your dog came along for an afternoon of shopping? On Saturday 3 October 2026, from 2 pm to 6 pm, the central atrium of Westland Shopping in Anderlecht turns into a paradise for four-legged companions. Free entry.

After a first edition that drew nearly 37,000 visitors, Dog Day returns for a second edition, entirely devoted to dogs… and to their humans.

🐕 On the programme: Puppuccino, biscuits and custom collars

Our companions deserve a treat too. At the Cookie Bar, dogs sample healthy biscuits; at the Puppuccino Bar, a yoghurt-based version replaces the human cappuccino.

Next stop, the collar customisation bar: rhinestones, beads, charms and the dog’s name make a one-of-a-kind accessory. La Cha Créative will also be there with personalised accessories for dogs and their “pawparents”.

And to take home a memory, the photobooth lets owners strike a pose with their companion.

🎓 A fun and useful afternoon

Dog Day also brings practical knowledge. The association Aide aux Animaux de Belgique will present its Walking Pets initiative. The animal welfare service of the Brussels-Midi police zone will attend alongside a vet to explain its work and share practical information on dog identification and registration. Maxi Zoo will share everyday care advice.

🚓 Police dog unit: demonstrations at 2 pm and 3 pm

The highlight of the afternoon: the police dog unit. At 2 pm and 3 pm, visitors get a close-up look at the work of these specially trained dogs and their handlers.

At 4 pm, it is the children’s turn: the unit runs a playful, interactive activity on how to approach a dog safely and respectfully.
