“Four highlights, four identities, one common thread: transforming Brussels' public spaces into a place for leisure and culture, for connection and for unforgettable shared moments.”Nawal Ben Hamou, Alderwoman for Culture and Major Events, City of Brussels

From the city centre to the canal, from parks to public squares, the entire City of Brussels is set to become the backdrop for this summer’s programme. From 17 June to 23 August 2026, Plaisirs d’Été brings together 4 main events with a shared ambition: to turn public spaces into a place for connection, discovery and enjoyment, accessible to all.

A World-Exclusive Kick-off at Place De Brouckère

This summer’s launch will feature a world exclusive: PRODIGY12, a one-of-a-kind immersive installation, taking over Place De Brouckère to offer a sensory experience that blends live performance with cutting-edge technology.

What is the Vaux Hall Summer 2026 programme in Brussels Park?

For its 10th anniversary, Vaux-Hall is reinforcing its role as a dedicated platform for Brussels' emerging scenes more than ever. The 2026 programme shines a spotlight on:

  • emerging Brussels-based artists;
  • LGBTQIA+ artists and collectives;
  • artists with disabilities;
  • projects from diaspora communities and local alternative scenes;
  • the visibility of female artists and composers.

New guest collectives include: OFA, Tashattot (artists from the SWANA region), and Compositrix. Two special, low-cost evening events complement the free programme, including a comedy night on 8 July.

What’s on at Quai d’Été in the Kanal District?

Following a successful first edition, Quai d’Été returns to the Quai des Péniches, in the heart of the Kanal District. On the programme:

  • 3 full weekends · 18 days of activities;
  • 38 musical cruises on The Boat (175 seats, booking required);
  • 17 Brussels-based collectives or groups active in the city;
  • Free DJ sets, chill-out zones, and sunny vibes.

“The Kanal District is a transformation co-created with residents and business owners.”Didier Wauters, Alderman for Commerce, City of Brussels

New family activities at Cinquantenaire Park: Pavi’On Summer

A major new addition for 2026: Plaisirs d’Été is expanding to Cinquantenaire Park with the summer opening of the Pavi’On from early July to late August. Expect a friendly and creative programme with a special focus on families.

Enjoy accessible classical music concerts at Classissimo

The festival that makes classical music accessible to all is celebrating its 20th edition at the Théâtre Royal du Parc. True to its spirit of discovery, it will showcase rare instruments such as the cymbalum, glass harmonica, and castanets. Unbeatable price: €15 presale / €18 on the door.

Where to dance in Brussels this summer: The Dance Festival

The Brussels Dance Festival transforms the city centre into a giant dancefloor at De Brouckère, Bourse, the Hôtel de Ville and La Monnaie. On the agenda: the Fusion stage (main stage for dance & music), the Labo by Dolce Gusto (workshops, free dancefloors, battles), all with the ambition of establishing Brussels as one of Europe’s dance capitals.

How to enjoy a responsible and accessible summer in Brussels

Plaisirs d’Été places sustainability, inclusivity, and safety at the heart of its organisation. Use of STIB public transport is encouraged, with Interparking providing partnership solutions for parking.

“Culture for all: that’s a conviction, not a slogan.” — Nawal Ben Hamou
