Six days a week, Marianne is behind the bar, pouring the pints and keeping an eye on the kitchen. And that kitchen never stops: non-stop cooking, from morning until 10:30pm — a rarity in Brussels, where so many kitchens close at 2pm.

It starts with breakfast

The French breakfast starts at €8: a croissant or a pain au chocolat, freshly squeezed orange juice and a coffee. For bigger appetites, the menu goes up to the country breakfast at €15.

Le Saint d’Hic is more than a café — it is a folklore headquarters. The Gardevils, the folklore society tied to the Meyboom (planted every 9 August before 5pm), gather here. Their official calendar lists the Election of Madame Chapeau and the Spaghetti Gardevils (11:30am-4pm) at Le Saint d’Hic.
