Scooters in Brussels? 🛴 The VUB launches its survey (and a €20 Bol.com voucher)

This summer, it was announced that the Brussels government will ban shared e-scooters from 2027. Over the past eight years, shared e-scooters have become an integral part of the Brussels mobility system. At the same time, privately owned e-scooters have grown in popularity — and regulations for those will also be tightened soon.

The Cosmopolis Centre for Urban Research at the VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) therefore wants a better understanding of the user profiles and travel patterns of e-scooter users, both shared and privately owned. The questionnaire focuses on the travel patterns of e-scooter users: destination, duration, time of day, and more. The survey also aims to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of e-scooter users.
