Julie (Xplore.bruxelles) and Victor put Brussels in the spotlight 💙🌸

Some people pass by in three minutes, camera up, story posted, gone. And then there are those who take their time. On 13 August 2026, Julie — Xplore.bruxelles and Victor — vicfilmmaker spent the whole morning circling the Flower Carpet, hunting for the right angle, the right light, the right silence.

The result: not one more postcard, but a real reportage — the one Brussels deserves.

🌸 1. The City Hall balcony

First stop, and already the most spectacular. From the City Hall balcony, the carpet opens all at once: fuchsia, orange and crimson bands run up to the gilded façades, volunteers are still kneeling in the begonias, flower crates stack up by the hundreds. This is the officials'' angle, the one that reveals the whole design.

🗼 2. The City Hall tower

Then the climb. The gothic tower of City Hall, a narrow staircase, and up there the view almost nobody gets: the Grand-Place seen straight down, the carpet like fabric laid on the cobblestones, and behind it all of Brussels. That day, the sky was perfectly clear.

📸 3. The photo booth at La Chaloupe d''Or

🏛️ 4. The second carpet, at the Bourse

The 2026 exclusive: for the first time, Brussels hosts two flower carpets. The second one is installed at the Bourse, inaugurated at 6pm on Thursday 13 August. Julie and Victor filmed a younger, more urban carpet there, framed by the palace columns — a perfect counterpoint to the Grand-Place.

🥂 5. The finale: the BXLOVE drink at Roy d''Espagne

End of the morning, end of the route: the Prestige room at Roy d''Espagne, on the 3rd floor, for the BXLOVE drink. Wood panelling, stained glass, and through the window the carpet below. The place where you put the camera down, raise a glass, and admit that yes — Brussels is beautiful, and it deserves to be shown.
